When running a Campaign to your existing list (database), it's essential to make sure you follow key steps:
- Clean the Data and prepare the CSV file to upload
- Plan the Sales Process and key stages in the pipeline
- Build the workflows with the right sales message
- Test & optimise
- Run the campaign to a manageable batch (don't blast your whole list at once!)
Important Note on Cleaning Your Data BEFORE Importing:
- From the CSV export in ServiceM8 you may need to clean the data a little to make that every contact has an email and/or a mobile number
- The column header titles are key to matching up with the correct contact fields in Lead Hero
- It's worth checking the Name formatting to ensuring you have 'First Name' and 'Last Name' excluding the Title - if you only have the Title & Last Name then add this as the First Name i.e. Firstname = Mr Smith, Lastname = Smith
- If you want to add tags, have one column header called 'Tags' and then add the tag name in that column - if you have multiple per contact then add all the tags in the same column but separate each with a comma e.g. tag1, tag2, tag3

Always provide an OPT-OUT
Remember, as per GDPR and good marketing practices, you should always have an opt-out if the people you're sending to are not expecting a message.
In the SMS, you can simply write something like "press STOP to opt-out". This will automatically enable DND (do not disturb) and not allow the contact to be messages any further.
