🔄 How to Manage Leads & Contacts
âś… 1. Access the Contacts Section

From your Dashboard, go to the left sidebar.

Click on “Contacts” → then click “Smart Lists” (or “All” to view all contacts).
âś… 2. Add a New Contact (Lead or Client)

In the top right, click the “+ Add Contact” button.

Fill out the contact form:

Name
-
Email
-
Phone
-
Tags (e.g., Lead, Client, Cold, Hot)

Custom Fields if applicable

Assigned User (if working with a team)

Click “Save” when done.
âś… 3. View & Filter Contacts

Use filters to narrow down your list:

By status, pipeline stage, tags, custom fields, etc.

You can save filter views to quickly access them again later.
âś… 4. Edit or Update a Contact

Click on any contact’s name to open their profile.

You can update:

Personal details

Notes
-
Add tasks or appointments

Send emails or SMS directly

View their activity timeline

âś… 5. Use Tags to Organize Contacts

Tags help segment your list (like "New Lead", "No Response", "Booked Call").

You can tag contacts manually or automatically through workflows.
âś… 6. Import Contacts

Click “Import Contacts” in the top right of the Contacts section.

Upload a .CSV file, then map the columns to GoHighLevel fields (name, phone, etc.).

Choose whether to add tags or assign to campaigns/workflows during import.
âś… 7. Manage Leads with Pipelines

Go to Opportunities > Pipeline to visually manage your leads.

Drag-and-drop contacts between stages (like: New → Contacted → Booked → Closed).

Leads in pipelines are still found under “Contacts,” just viewed in a sales-funnel layout.
âś… 8. Automate Contact Actions

Use Workflows to automatically:

Send emails/SMS

Add tags

Move leads through the pipeline

Assign to team members

Create tasks or follow-ups

âś… 9. Delete or Archive Contacts

Select contacts using the checkboxes.

Click the Actions menu to delete, archive, or apply bulk actions like tagging or assigning users.

Use Smart Lists to create dynamic filters (like “All Leads from Facebook Ads in the past 30 days”)—they update automatically!
